Lakewood Chooses Bullock's New Leadership in Ward 2 Primary
Bullock Beats Expectations with Focus on Neighborhood Safety, Problem-Solving, and Hands-On Leadership

Lakewood, Ohio--Tom Bullock beat expectations by winning Lakewood's primary election for City Council in Ward 2, edging establishment candidate Dan Shields to become the top vote-winner in the three-way non-partisan race. Bullock and Shields will face off in Lakewood's General Election on Nov. 6.
"Lakewood voters have spoken, and they have chosen a new direction and new leadership. I thank Ward 2 residents for their support," said Bullock. "I'll work tirelessly to make our neighborhoods safe, clean, and family-friendly."
Bullock credits the strong showing to an energetic grassroots campaign featuring public forums on neighborhood safety and thousands of front-porch conversations with voters.
Bullock said he is running to bring new leadership to Lakewood, which faces rising safety challenges, home foreclosures, and budget deficits. Bullock is organizing neighbors to pull together to face these challenges.
"Working together as neighbors is a first step to dealing with crime, noise, trash, and absentee landlords. I'm putting together Block Watches and Good Neighbor Groups on any street where residents are interested," said Bullock.
Bullock is holding an organizers’ meeting to start new Block Watches in Ward 2 on Wed., Oct. 10, at 7 p.m. Call 216-337-1318 to participate or get more information.
